Implant supported removable denture - Say goodbye to a loose denture
An implant supported denture is a removable denture which is attached to dental implants. In the lower jaw 2 or 3 implants for fixation of the denture are needed. In the upper jaw we usually need 4 to 6 implants. An implant supported denture will be fixed so tight that it won't be possible to come loose. The denture has to be taken out every day in order to clean both the denture and the dental implants.
Advantages of an implant supported removable denture:
- the chewing force will be divided among the implants instead of the gums: no more painful gums
- elimination of the discomfort and insecurity of loose, ill-fitting dentures
- it helps to maintain facial structures
- anchoring dental implants into the jawbone stimulates bone tissue and gums, ensuring an attractive, esthetic result.
Referred for an implant supported removable denture
When you have been referred to our clinic for an implant supported denture by a dentist or specialist, the denture will be made by them. We only place the implants.
If you have not been referred, the denture will be made in our centre by our specialist, Ralph van der Reijden. Click here to see his website. This is a separate website which has especially been designed for patients who need a new denture with or without implants.
